Gift from Saudi Arabia’s king: Bling bling for Obama

In preparation to address Muslims around the world, United States President Obama was in Saudi Arabia.  With heightened tensions because of the lack of progress in the Palestinian-Israeli peace process and the war in Iraq, His aim is to ease decades of tensions between the United States and Muslims. After a quite short conversation on gilded chairs while enjoying the aroma of the served cardamom-flavored coffee of Arabia, King Abdullah of Saudi Arabia presented President Obama with the massive 18 karat gold chain necklace bling. United States President received the controversial gigantic gold necklace name the King Abdul Aziz order of merit. It does not only come with a big bling bling but also Saudi Arabia’s highest honor. The estimated value of the stated necklace is 25000 US Dollars worth of gold, according to the news. However, there are these fules that forbid United States officials from keeping most gifts given by foreign representatives.

President Obama has no choice but to turn the golden bling over to the government. Most gifts given to the president quickly end up in a warehouse, only a sampling of them emerges years later in a presidential library.  In addition to being a hefty chunk of gold, it is a significant symbolic gesture.

Never Before Heard Singles From Tupac To Be Released

Death Row Records has announced that they will be releasing an album of never before heard music from 2Pac.   The said album is set to be released on June 2010, in time for the rapper’s birthday. The company expects to draw in handsome sales from this album, as the top-selling West coast based (late) artist is very well known for his songs that advocated political, economic, social and racial equality.

Aside from Tupac Shakur’s (2Pac) unreleased singles, Death Row Records also announced it will be releasing records from their other artists.   The Chronic Re-Lit, will be one such album scheduled for release on September this year.  It will include four bonus tracks and a DVD featuring footage of  rappers such as Dr. Dre, and other artists as well.

The Dream & Tricky Stewart Receive Songwriter of the Year

At the ASCAP Rhythm & Soul Music Awards last Friday, The Dream and Tricky Stewart received the top award for their great work on five songs including “I Luv Your Girl” by The-Dream, “Just Fine” by Mary J. Blige, and “Touch My Body” by Mariah Carey.

Both also shared the award for songwriter of the year with fellow songwriters/producers Tor Hermansen and Mikkel Eriksen, who were honored for their production work on Ne-Yo’s “Miss Independent,” Jennifer Hudson’s “Spotlight,” and Rihanna’s “Take a Bow.”

Tricky and The-Dream have earned critical and commercial success first with Rihanna’s “Umbrella,” and other hit songs such as Beyonce’s recent “Single Ladies (Put a Ring on It).”

Lil Wayne and Alicia Keys were also awarded at the ASCAP Rhythm & Soul Music.

Michael Jackson is Gone

I really don’t believe that much on gossips but this time when I heard the news I was like so crazy about getting in touch with my friends, families and colleagues just to confirm it and have even searched the internet just to know the real truth.  Yes, we lost our King of Pop, the greatest performer of all time.  I don’t think there is anyone who can do what he did.  How can we forget his breathe-taking dance moves, high-pitched voice with titters and squeals, with white gloves, tight pants, and military-style jacket and aviator sunglasses?

A lot of us are excited of his great comeback concert at London which is supposedly on July 13.  I’ve read somewhere that one of the reasons why he’ll have to do this is to prove himself. For me, I don’t think he needs that.

MJ forever created a great impact to the world of music and entertainment and we will always remember him for his kind and sweet spirit.  You’re a true legend!  We will miss you Mike.

Jim Jones and Bow Wow already done with Sony Records?

A lot of industries nowadays are affected by the recession.  Numbers of companies are reducing some of their staffs just to sustain with the business and music industry is one of those that got hit by this dilemma.  The brandings has been minimized and budgeting causes headaches.  There has been rumors coming out, Jim Jones and Bow Wow are badly affected by these.

It was just after Jim Jones released his first album with Sony Records, he has been dropped from his contract with them and the same issue being tagged for Bow Wow that has been with the company for more than 10 long years with the label.

The results of their albums became a pain in the pocket for Sony.  They’ve paid more marketing dollars and getting just a piece of it as their returns.  According to inside sources, Sony spent 4.7 Million dollars!  It was that hard for Sony though since a million of that was consumed by Jim Jones’ last album and just less than half of that said amount was kept in their volts.  While for Bow Wow, they haven’t received good results of his last projects.  Sadly but that doesn’t seem to work in any type of business, the return on investment must be 100% more than what you’ve paid for.  If one is getting such return, then business is in good and stable condition.

We really can’t predict what’s in there for us.  Like in the case of these two great rappers, even if they’ve worked that hard but just that time and great opportunity hasn’t knocked on their doors this yet.  Maybe soon, if time permits, they can recover from this issue that has been cropping up.

Snoop Dogg headbutted Mike Tyson!!!

There were hundreds of fans lined up at the House of Blues in sunny Los Angeles California on Monday just to see their favorite celebrities go one-on-one in the ring on Fight Night Round 4.  It was a very a memorable night since for the first time Iron Mike Tyson was defeated by a rapper Snoop Dogg.  Now this is really something!!!

There were lots of spectators in the said area including media, actors and actresses, hip-hop peeps (Snoop’s bling watch rocks! ) and of course gaming enthusiasts.  The main event was that between Snoop Dogg and Tyson going at it on Xbox 360! LOL!

Tyson fought as himself and Snoop fought as his boxing alter ego, Malice.  Snoop won over Tyson and a $5000 purse for his youth football league.  That is sweet!

Ways in Keeping Cubic Zirconia Stunning

Cubic zirconia (CZ) morsels will shine and sparkle even better than those expensive diamonds if they’re being treated and cared properly.  They will give you that perfection and satisfaction since they will last number of years if they’re being taken cared of well.  These are popularly bought nowadays by many because of its diamond-like appearance, its versatility and most especially because of its affordability.

To keep their beauty and long lasting, I have listed some of the simple ways to properly treat these precious gems.

 

Why it becomes dull?

CZ gems may become dull because of the lotions applied to the body and wearing it while doing so, human sweat, hairspray (obviously because of the strong chemicals that’s within it) and/or from the substances that we got in our surroundings like dust and pollutions.   It is important to keep them clean to make it look like fresh or new all the time.

 

How do I clean CZ Jewellery?

This is just so simple; one can just use a used toothbrush to clean CZ gems.  This can help remove those substances that got trapped on them easily and effectively.  Note that this only requires a smooth brushing so to avoid possible deformation of the debris or what not.  Use warm water and a liquid soap (CZ jewellery must not be dipped directly to the soap, use the brush instead).  Rinse the morsels in warm water and use cotton to dry them out.

 

What to do to keep its quality? 

Strong element or chemical is a big NO-NO.  They are so violent that could possibly damage the jewellery.  Chemicals like chlorine, ammonia, or bleach must be avoided as much as possible.  If you think there is a need for you to clean your CZ gem that much, please see your jeweler as they are the ones who know the best thing to do.  Never experiment with it yourself!

 

 

When is the best time to take it off? 

Always be cautious with your CZ jewellery.  Remember to remove it before applying anything to your body (lotions, moisturizers, etc) and never forget to wear it again after applying.  Remove it when you’re sleeping to avoid possible damages and lastly, keep it in a safe and soft jewellery box to avoid it from being scratched.

Recession can’t dull hip-hop’s bling…

We can’t deny the fact that even if our economy is experiencing some serious problems, people never tend to just neglect their personal needs most especially when it comes to beautifying themselves by means of wearing some accessories to complete their fashion getup. 

By these stuffs that people wear, one will get very attractive, be easily noticed by others and will receive numerous compliments and adoration.  Basically this is the reason why people would love to have that kind of feeling out of this very chaos economy.

I don’t think it is appropriate to stop yourself from having the things that completes you just because people are striving and struggling to death because of this recession gizmo.  I don’t see any relevance to it, I mean, there are already iced-out CZ (cubic zirconia) stones in the market that looks like a diamond and has a perfect quality that you can choose instead of buying those that costs thousands or millions of dollars.

Let’s be practical and choose those that are easy on the pockets and still have that gorgeous looks that you’ve always wanted.  This is just a matter on how you carry yourself and how realistic you are.

Yeah I know, people will think that you’re just using this bling that just have CZ stones but my question is why not?  They’re as good as diamonds, their qualities are as best as diamonds and most importantly they’re at low cost.  One should not feel like just because you’re wearing this bling with CZ stones and that you’re not hip.  Of course not, I should even be proud of what I have.

We should all be thankful for this CZ bling that came out because we can still have the looks that we’ve always wanted.

By the way, this is in response to those articles that came out regarding this issue and obviously I don’t believe that hip-hop bling is becoming less important.
